Are you looking for funny best man speeches examples?  As you probably already know being a best man is an important function.  Your friend obviously trusts you enough to help make his big day happen.  Now you need to return the favor and deliver a speech that is memorable and funny – something that gets people excited and talking.

From my experience, I know that writing out a funny speech is no easy task.  In fact, if you want your speech to be funny you should plan it well in advance and test the material with a friend.

In any event, I’ve composed a series of best man speech examples that are funny, casual and formal.  You may use them as a guide when you construct your speech.

• Hi, I’m Paul.  I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.  After all these years, Ryan finally admitted that I’m the best man.
• I want to thank you all for coming.  I have to admit, some of you clean up pretty nice.
• The kids just asked me to thank everybody for all the gifts.  In case anyone is wondering, I got first takers on the new blender from Aunt Genny.
• Great party, John and Linda.  Thanks for footing the bill.  I’m amazed at how far people will come for free food and booze.
• I had it admit it, buy Ryan did have love interests before Kristina.  He really loved Sherry…not to mention, wine, vodka and scotch
• Doesn’t Kristina look stunning today?  Yeah, but John just looks stunned!
• Everything will be fine in the marriage as long as Ryan remembers to keep saying those three little words, ‘you’re right Kristina’

Funny Best Man Speeches Examples #2

Good afternoon.  Thank you for all being here today. Ryan and Kristina appreciate your generosity.  I would also like to thank John and Linda for allowing us to be part of this special day. Some of you may not know me.  My name is Paul.  I’m Ryan’s best friend, just don’t tell anybody.  But seriously, I met Ryan in the third grade.  We played soccer together in high school and went to the same university.  He will be the best man at my wedding some day.  He’s the kind of person you would trust with your life, or in this case your daughter.  When I met Kristina I knew right away why Ryan fell in love with her.  He couldn’t have asked for a more perfect match.  Kristina is a great woman who deserves a great husband.  Thank god John married her before she found out!  Anyway, I’m very happy to see two of my favorite people getting married for better or worse.  Ryan couldn’t do any better and Kristina couldn’t do much worse.

I have found that the most memorable wedding speeches are those that strike a balance between being emotional and funny.  Generally speaking, funny best man speeches are a real crowd-pleaser as long as the material is clean, witty and not offensive to anyone in the wedding party.

I used humor in my speech which I found kept the audience listening to me.  One tip that I can offer you is to try to use humor throughout the speech but use it at different times.  For instance, you may want to start with a joke at the beginning to get the audience to warm up to you.  Then use a funny story in the middle to grab everyone’s attention again.  Finally, you may want to conclude with another funny story so that everyone will remember you as the cool and funny best man.

Another thing that you can try when delivering your funny speech is to interact with the audience.  Remember that this is a toast and not a lecture so try to have conversations with certain people in the wedding party who can help add some humor.

As with all speeches, make sure th make good eye contact.  If you really want to be creative you can plant a funny prop or perform a trick using the audience.  I recently went to a wedding and saw someone do this and it was really effective.
